At Beldare, we are committed to working towards a sustainable future for all. By prioritising environmental responsibility, we aim to create developments that contribute positively to the planet we all share. Eco-friendly design principles, energy-efficient technologies and sustainable materials are integral to everything we do.
Biodiversity net gain informs our designs from the outset. That means we carry out environmental surveys at the first opportunity to truly understand the environmental sensitivities and constraints of each site. This allows us to design our developments around existing hedgerows, trees and key habitat zones.
In keeping with our responsibilities as keepers of local archaeological heritage, Beldare carries out archaeological assessments and test-trenching across all our sites at the early design stage. This has proven very successful in identifying important archaeological features on sites, which can be maintained and preserved.
As a matter of principle, we avoid development on sites where we find significant archaeological features. On existing sites, we retain, enhance and maintain important historical features so that our historic past is preserved for current and future generations to enjoy.
